Richard Sapp’s Qualifications for Justice of the Peace
Richard Sapp is a candidate for Justice of the Peace Bell County, Precinct 2.
Richard is an honorably retired Temple Police Officer who retired after 32 years most of which was as a Detective. He was the senior member of the Temple Police Dept upon his retirement. Richard received many awards and commendations throughout his career.
Richard has over 20 years’ experience as an adjunct professor with Central Texas College instructing Criminal Justice and Law Enforcement classes. Richard holds a master’s degree in criminal justice from Tarleton State University, a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice, and has attended Texas A&M School of Law.
Having been a working Detective for many years received advanced education and knowledge and practical understanding of Forensic Science which is a valuable part of his qualifications for the role of Justice of the Peace. His practical experience includes numerous homicides and death investigations. Richard has not only have practical forensic experience but he has also taught this to others on a high level. On numerous occasions Richard has spent time at the Southwest Institute of Forensic Sciences.
Richard and his wife Aida have resided in Salado for more than twenty years and they are deeply rooted in the community.
Richard’s experience, knowledge, and education clearly makes him the best qualified candidate in this election.
